I keep my fiction proofreading rates simple and fair:

$0.012 per word for first-time clients

Figure the cost for your manuscript:
word count x $0.012 = price

For example, a 45,000-word novel costs $540.

My regular rate is $0.015 per word, which comes to $3.75 per (250-word) page.

How to Pay:

When you hire me for a proofreading project, I’ll email you a PayPal invoice, which is easily and securely payable by credit card, Venmo, or PayPal (even without a PayPal account).

You are not required to pay the total proofreading cost upfront. At the start of the project, only 40% is due. The last 60% is due upon proofreading completion (and before the files are released).
